550 Green / Olive hiking boots are made at the Samelin shoe factory in Estonia. They are designed for hiking in Nordic climates, but as Samelin itself says, “they are actually suitable for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle.”
Samelin has been making hiking boots for over 20 years, and many know Samelin as a maker of high-quality hiking boots.
The hiking boots are made of waterproof nubuck leather and the inner lining is a 4-layer sock-like membrane system called Topaz, which ensures waterproofness and breathability. The boots have a two-layer Vibram sole, suitable for walking on both soft and hard surfaces. If Vibram is unfamiliar to you, it is in the world of hiking boots what Porsche or Ferrari is in cars – you can choose either one. The boot’s lace loops are made of non-magnetic metal and the laces can be fastened at different heights. The inside of the boots is shock-absorbing, antibacterial, breathable, and washable. The toe and heel have protective rubber. Size 41 boots weigh 1.3 kg.
